The Visual Imagery Spectrum Tool
(VIST)

The VIST is a custom made interview bot, designed to aide one in getting to the bottom of what type of imagery they may be experiencing.

Fueled by ChatGPT, this bot is loaded with the context and work from the past 7 years of my work.

It requires at least a free GPT account to use, but I hope that it serves you well!

Individual Questionnaires,
Experiments, & Tools

The Vividness of Mental Senses Questionnaire
(VMSQ)

This questionnaire has been designed by me, and is an attempt to address some of the shortcomings of the popular VVIQ.

The questionnaire takes a metric for not only mental imagery, but other mental senses as well. It also attempts to present the scenarios in a more productive and accurate manner, allowing the participant to focus on the scene first, then answer questions upon reflection.

First developed by me, Alec Figueroa. My hypothesis is that a questionnaire formatted in this manner will yield more accurate results as to where a participant may lie on the visual imagery spectrum.

This questionnaire is still in the ALPHA phase, and is not finalized. To participate, click the link below:

The Projected Imagery Questionnaire
(PIQ)

The aim of the PIQ is to gather data on an individual's ability to produce visual imagery which occurs in the physical field of view.

Hopefully, this questionnaire will eventually be useful to develop a prophantasia test, of sorts.

Please feel free to test out the PIQ, and I hope it proves useful to you!

The Vividness of Visual Imagery Questionnaire
(VVIQ)

The VVIQ attempts to gather subjective data on the vividness of ones mental imagery.

First developed in 1973 by David Marks, the questionnaire has become the gold standard for mental imagery vividness quantification.

Here, we have simulated the survey and have turned it into a tool to get a general idea of what type of imagery you may be experiencing based on your score.
